Valencia College Dental Hygiene Clinic is a dental hygienist in Orlando, Florida. It is listed at Allied Health & Sciences, Bldg. Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

I took my nephew to Valencia Dental today for a routine teeth cleaning. When we arrived, I was told there was additional paperwork that needed to be completed. While waiting in the lobby for over 30 minutes, I watched several patients come and go with their children. I didn't see any parents waiting in the lobby for their children, which made me believe they were allowed to accompany them. When it was finally our turn, I asked if I could go with my nephew during his cleaning. Abbey, the student who was going to perform the cleaning, told me that parents are not allowed in the treatment area unless the child has a medical condition. That policy was never mentioned in the paperwork I was asked to sign, nor was it explained before the appointment. As the adult responsible for my nephew, I wasn't comfortable sending him into the back alone with staff. At every other dental office I've visited, parents have been allowed to stay with their children during routine appointments if they choose. I asked to speak with a manager, but instead the receptionist came out and showed me a form explaining that they prefer children to receive treatment independently. My question was: if that's the o

Visited several times there. Dentists are students but they are very well trained and professional. The most important, they are more gentle than dentists outside. Love their service. My teeth are too sensitive.

I would not even leave a start for this facility. It has changed a lot since I was there. Very slow, luck of available staff, no customer service. God forbid you to sign their pink paper without triple time checking with the student, who is going to take care of you or your child, what service they are going to provide. And never leave your child with them alone and under their judgment what services they will apply first. If you decide to go with them, make sure do not add extra services, Cleaning ONLY. There is nothing wrong to let them practice on you but if you add any other services, forget about cleaning. After 3 hours they will come to you and say OOOPPPPSSSS! You have to come back next time ... maybe in 3 month??? And the manager of the front desk is very mean and aggressive. If she doesn't like you and you concern she will threaten you with calling a security but I did not care. I took a picture of their complaint sheet and I will make another complain to the head of their facility. I really want to save your time and money. I wasted my time and money and did not get cleaning and got stressful day. Good Luck! This is a generation who is going to service us in the future
